About Us
Built on Craft. Known for Our Word.
Craft Built Carpentry Pty Ltd is a family-owned carpentry company serving homes and businesses across Melbourne VIC. We do the work properly, quote it honestly and leave every site better than we found it.
Our Story
Craft Built Carpentry began the way most good building businesses do — with a toolbox, a ute and a reputation to protect. What started as a one-person operation taking on decks, pergolas and repair work around Melbourne has grown into a trusted Pty Ltd team handling everything from structural framing and renovations to custom timber detail work.
As we have grown, one thing has not changed: every job still gets the same care as the very first one. We measure twice, cut once, and we would rather walk away from a job than do it in a way we would not put our own name on. That mindset is why so much of our work now comes from repeat clients and word-of-mouth referrals across Melbourne's eastern, south-eastern and bayside suburbs.
Today, Craft Built Carpentry Pty Ltd (ABN 88 703 375 811) delivers residential and light-commercial carpentry with the structure of a professional business and the hands-on pride of a tradesman-run workshop.
What We Stand For
Our values are not words on a wall — they show up in how we quote, how we build and how we clean up afterwards.
Craftsmanship First
We build to last. Straight lines, tight joints, correct fixings and timber chosen to suit the job and Melbourne's climate.
Honest, Itemised Quotes
No vague allowances and no surprise variations. You see exactly what you are paying for before any work begins.
Safe and Tidy Sites
We protect your property, work to Australian workplace safety standards and clean down the site every single day.
Clear Communication
One point of contact, regular progress updates and straight answers. If something changes, you hear it from us first.
How Our Team Works
Every project — from a small repair to a full renovation — follows the same proven process:
- Site visit and consultation. We inspect the work, listen to what you want and flag anything that could affect cost or timing.
- Written, itemised quote. Clear scope, clear pricing, no pressure to sign on the spot.
- Dedicated project lead. A qualified carpenter oversees your job from start to finish, supported by our apprentice team.
- Structured build schedule. Materials ordered early, trades coordinated and timelines communicated in advance.
- Daily clean-down and final walkthrough. We tidy as we go, then walk through the finished work with you to make sure every detail meets your expectations.
We also believe in investing in the next generation of Melbourne carpenters. Our apprentices train under qualified tradespeople, which keeps standards high on site and keeps traditional skills alive.
